MBA Program in Cooperation with WiSo-Führungskräfte-Akademie (WFA)
With his five-day course „Controlling“, Prof. Dr. Thomas M. Fischer, Chair of Accounting and Management Control, contributed to the MBA degree program „International Leadership and Finance“, which is offered in cooperation with the WiSo-Führungskräfte-Akademie (WFA) to high-potential professionals of a global enterprise.
The participants learned about a broad range of emerging topics, e.g., Value Based Analysis, Working Capital Management, Customer Profitability Analysis, M&A Valuation, Digital Controlling, Performance Based Compensation. Beyond the conceptual foundations, the sessions covered tools, whose applicability was demonstrated with recent corporate data, e.g., from annual reports and internal best practices.
Guest speakers from top management as well as experts from various corporate functions, who had been invited by Prof. Fischer, shared further insights and corroborated the high relevance of the course program for practice. The participants highly appreciated the presentations and case studies as platform for their knowledge transfer.
